Protection Legislation for Employees

This superb 1 day training course will deal with some of the most important aspects of employment law, which affect every single employer and every single employee in this country. The course will be presented in a down to earth and practical manner and will address the issues which employers have to deal with on a daily basis. Each of the relevant Acts will be explained in detail and delegates will come away with a thorough understanding of the most important aspects of protective legislation for employees.

In this age of heightened employee awareness of their employment rights and also the possibility of a National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) investigation, this course has been designed to point out, to the pro-active employer, the do’s and don’ts regarding protective legislation.  Employers who fail to adhere to the relevant legislation can find themselves in litigation with the Rights Commissioner, Employment Appeals Tribunal, Equality Tribunal or possibly the Courts. This 1 day course will include numerous examples of case law and will highlight the particular pitfalls that employers have fallen foul of, thus enabling you to learn from their mistakes.

This course will outline the main provisions of each of the following Acts and will then go on to explain how these principles are applied on a day to day basis. While highlighting the most common problems which employers have to contend with, it will also offer practical solutions for most situations encountered.

The course includes a question and answer session and a comprehensive course manual is provided for each delegate which will prove to be of immense value as a future reference document. Attendance at this course also includes a 30 day telephone support period.
