Knock Shrine, Ireland’s International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, is inviting applications for the role of Procurement Specialist.
The Role
You will have a strong background in sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation. This role requires a proactive professional who can drive procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the continuous supply of quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
· Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluation.
· Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
· Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
· Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
· Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
· Conduct market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and risks in the supply chain.
· Lead the Request for Quotation and Request for Proposal processes, ensuring competitive pricing and value.
· Maintain and update procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier performance.
Key Requirements:
· 5+ years of experience in procurement with a track record of strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier management skills.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Applications.
· Professional certifications such as a Certification in Purchasing and Procurement is highly desirable.
The role is a permanent position, and candidates must be willing to work 35 hours per week.
