Under the Pensions Act 1990 (as amended), trustees have the main responsibility for the administration of funded occupational pension schemes and compliance with the requirements that apply to these schemes.

James Caron, QFA FLIA, has 24 years’ experience in Financial Services, during which time he spent 8 years with Standard Life, latterly as Pensions Development Manager, moving to Ulster Bank Wealth in 2007 as Associate Director. He joined Bank of Ireland Life in Galway 2010 where he was Pensions Manager for the West and Northwest/Midlands regions. In August 2012 James joined Lucas Financial Consulting who specialise in Retirement Planning, Investments, Business and Family Protection. These services are offered on a business to business basis for clients of Accountancy Practices as well as personal clients. In addition to holding the QFA FLIA, James is a Bachelor of Law (BA, LLB) and holds the Irish Institute of Pensions Management’s Membership qualification (MIIPM). He is a member of LIA’s Board of Directors. James is married with one child and lives in Galway City.
Attendance at this seminar may qualify for 3 CPD/CPE hours for members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland, the Irish Taxation Institute, the Law Society; Accounting Technicians Ireland and other professional bodies.
Courses run from 10.00am - 1.00pm - tea/coffee on arrival. mid-morning & mid-afternoon and lunch will be provided.
