Fixed Purposed Contract.  Part-Time (20 Weeks – 2 Semesters of 10 Weeks)

Hours:
Lecturing 1 Evening per week, 18:30 – 21:30 during term plus associated support work

If you share our passion for the payroll profession in Ireland, an opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join IPASS as a Lecturer on a Fixed Purpose Contract.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lecturer to deliver the Certificate in Payroll Techniques course. This position involves delivering high-quality instruction, supporting students in their learning, and ensuring that course delivery is aligned with the approved syllabus and awarding body requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and structured lectures in line with the Certificate in Payroll Techniques syllabus.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students throughout the course.
  • Ensure that course delivery is aligned with the approved syllabus and awarding body requirements.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student examinations.
  • Foster an interactive and supportive learning environment.
  • Liaise with the Course Director to ensure high teaching standards.
Note:  The programme delivery materials are centrally prepared by the IPASS technical team, there is no requirement to generate original delivery materials.

Essential Requirements
  • Lecturing Experience – Proven experience in teaching, training, or facilitating payroll-related courses.
  • Online Delivery & Pedagogy – Proven experience in delivering courses online, including the use of virtual learning environments (VLEs), interactive engagement techniques, and digital assessment methods.
  • Payroll Expertise – Strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation, taxation, PRSI, employment law, and compliance.
  • Relevant Qualifications:
    • Graduate of the Certificate in Payroll Techniques (CPT) is a pre-requisite.
    • Preferably successfully completed the Professional Payroll Manager (PPM)/Diploma in Payroll Management.
  • Industry Experience – Demonstrated track record in the Irish payroll sector.

Desirable Requirements
  • Additional relevant professional qualifications in payroll, employment law, taxation, or accounting.
  • Experience in developing course materials or contributing to educational programs.
  • Membership of a professional payroll or finance association.
