Key Responsibilities

 

Payroll

  • Process Monthly Payroll and associated Revenue and legislative filing.
  • Maintain accurate records in Sage Micropay
  • Validate time and attendance before payroll approval
  • Support Month End and Year End payroll reporting
  • Ensure compliance with taxation, pensions, and legislative requirements

 

Finance Operations

  • Support AP/Procurement and AR functions
  • Review and approve purchase orders
  • Assist with Month End close and internal reporting
  • Oversee resident billing and staff accommodation charges
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors

 

Transformation, Automation & AI

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using finance systems and AI-driven tools
  • Use AI to support reporting, analysis, and data validation
  • Contribute to the design of scalable, technology-enabled finance processes
  • Support upcoming system upgrades and digital transformation projects

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar finance role
  • At least 1 year of hands-on payroll experience
  • Strong Excel and IT ability
  • Experience with (or strong interest in) AI-assisted finance tools, automation, or data analytics
  • Experience with Sage Micropay or Sage 50 (an advantage)
