The Opportunity

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will work within an experienced team and contribute to company goals. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a range of areas within the Finance Department of a growing company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of monthly payroll and following up on employee queries
  • Accounts Receivable- Sales invoicing and credit control
  • Accounts Payable- Invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and raising payments on online banking platform
  • Bank Reconciliations and posting of payments to Sage
  • Assisting in month end management accounts
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Other tasks as required within the Finance Department

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent numeric and accuracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Education/Experience

  • Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant
  • Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll are an advantage
  • Microsoft Excel (Intermediate Level)
  • 2-3 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Experience in processing high volume payroll

This will be a hybrid role.
