Accountancy Focus is a data & technology driven Management Accountancy Firm. Our doors opened in 1995 and we have been catering to a variety of SMEs ever since. We are a small, dedicated staff with extensive practice and industry experience looking to grow our team. This individual will gain exposure to many areas of tax, accounting and business analytics across a diverse range of industries including Technology, Retail, Engineering, Hospitality and more.

Role Overview/Purpose:

Together with other team members, the Accounts Analyst will:

  •  Input/upload data relating to sales & purchase invoices
  • Post receipts/payments and perform bank reconciliations
  • Manage aged receivable/payable listings & customer communication
  • Analyse and report on monthly P&L performance
  • Track balance sheet movement and verify balances via third party outlets
  • Prepare Revenue returns incl. VAT & related compliance reporting
  • Assist in preparing payroll in line with our internal payroll management tool
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role, as required

  • Accuracy and an eye for detail with a meticulous, systematic approach to problem solving
  • Excellent organisational & technical skills including a high proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to deal with sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
  • Ability to work flexibly, take initiative and work to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and good commercial awareness
